Mabel’s Labels is running an amazing contest that I need you all to know about.

For a bunch of reasons….

First of all, Mabel’s is an awesome Canadian, mom run company that makes a great product.  Truly.  I’ve been to their offices, I’ve used their products and have had the pleasure of getting to know them online and in real life and they are GREAT!  Mabel’s loves parents, they love kids and they give back to those around them all the time.

As a business owner, I aspire to be like them.  Julie Cole’s blog was an example of “what TO do” when I started the Nummies blog.  She is one of the four amazing owners of Mabel’s and a mother of 6. A mother of 6!  The first time I met Julie in person I was blown away with how cool she was and I totally monopolized her time…seriously.

I love the Mabel’s contest because it is such a cool opportunity! Come on now! Getting to write for Mabel’s for a year and go to Blogher ‘10 in New York with some of my very favourite people – Julie, Erica Ehm (@yummymummyclub), Kathy Buckworth (@KathyBuckworth) and my best pal Scott Stratten (@unmarketing)

Now don’t you tell me you don’t have time! You’re up with that baby anyway, right? And don’t be afraid.  You ARE a writer, you just don’t know it yet.  I promise you they are not scary.  I have an in with the toughie amongst them, and I’ve got news for you, he’s really a sweetheart.

All you have to do is write 300 (or less) words about this:

Electrical storms are going to wipe out the Internet (perhaps forever). You have one day left to write about your passions: what do you want to say to the blogosphere?
