Which of the bras have the "A" frame style once the front flap is unhooked.

What is the difference between the T-shirt bra and the Style bra?
  • Alison Kramer
The T-shirt bra, and all the Fashion bras have under wire.
The Style bra does not have wire, but a molded cup for support and to give a seemfree look. Sent from my BlackBerry device on the Rogers Wireless Network
  • Alison, I just went into a store for a fitting and discovered my new size is a 34DD. I'm not seeing DD's anywhere on the site... since I was uncomfortable in a regular 34D and had some spillage on top, should I be looking for an E here? I guess I really should have tried an E at the store, but the DD's I was fitted in were perfect...
  • Alison Kramer
    Hi Erica

Which bra on the site were you looking at? We do make a DD/E and an E/F
If they aren't on the site, we can help you find a retailer with the sizes for you.

  • I was looking right on the site/store and only saw D and E. If the E is a DD-E I'll order that size!

Also, I ordered a bra last wk, before I got fitted, and I think I ordered a D. I'll wait and try that when it comes and then I'll know better what I need!

    Yup! Go with the E
And let me know about the bra you already ordered and we can make sure you get the one you need

I thought your nursing bras were without underwire?
  • Alison Kramer
We do have one type of nursing bra with underwire the Fashion Bra. It comes in a t-shirt version without lace and also in a number of different colours with lace accents.
The Everyday and Style nursing bras do not have underwire.
    Thank you for your question

How true to size do your underwire bras run?  I am a 36E but tend to fluctuate between a 34F and 36F depending on how the bra is made.  Are your band and cup sizes pretty true or do the run a little large/small.  I have a "hollow" chest which makes it hard to fit because the tops of the bras are too large while the bottoms fit.  Any help would be appreciated!
  • Alison Kramer
Thank you so much for your question!

The underwire bras tend to run a little large in the cup. They are also
quite demi so low cut in the top and larger at the bottom. Sometimes, in
larger cup sizes this can make them a little "spilly" with the tops of the
    breast spilling out.
It sounds like this shape would work really well for you with the way you
    are describing your size.

I would suggest trying the 36E or 34E. What are you measuring for your band
    size?

does your convertible nursing bra comes in a clear strap? i need a nursing bra that i will be wearing under a spaghetti strap dress. please advise thanks
  • Alison Kramer
    Hi Kelly
Thank you for your question. No, the strap on the fashion bras is not clear. It can be crossed at the back, but it is a light nude colour.

How do I order Bras online. There is not a retailer anywhere in NM? Jennandles@msn.com
  • Alison Kramer
    Hi Jenn

Thank you for your question :) We have a number of online retailers available for customers who live where there is not a store nearby. You can find these on our store locator here: http://nummies.com/find_retail....

I will also be emailing you a list to the address you gave us in your comment.

    All the best,
    Alison

I am having a horrible time trying to figure out when to start shopping for nursing bras. I'm 6 months pregnant, and I have a large chest. I'd like something that gives me the proper support, but I'm unsure of what size I will be closer to giving birth, or even after my milk has come in. I'd also rather not wear a nursing bra that requires 20 hooks in the back and basically looks like a slightly smaller version of a tank top (if I can help it!). So, I am looking for answers to when to buy nursing bras, how many would you recommend a new mom get . . . and what style would you suggest for a woman who is currently a 42 - 44 DD or DDD (depending on the make).

    Thanks in advance.
  • Alison Kramer
Hi Claire and thank you for your question :)

We usually recommend waiting until you about 38 weeks along and going into a store to be properly fit for a nursing bra. At this time, you can get the best fit for band size (around your ribs, the 42 measure) and then you should go up a cup size from there, to leave room for your milk to come in and a nursing pad.

We suggest fitting before your baby is born, because you will be so busy after and probably won't get much of a chance to make it to the store. I would say to choose two (so you have one to wear while you wash the other) and make sure they are comfy and easy to care for.
Now, if you need to get a new bra before that time, you can choose a nursing bra, but the earlier you buy, the harder it is to choose a size. It is very likely (although not 100%) that when the first stage of nursing is done (once engagement stops and things settle down a bit) that these nursing bras purchased during pregnancy will fit you just fine.

Now, as for make. We are always adding new sizes to our line, but sadly right now i can't fit you in a bra (wish so much that i could). There are many great companies making bras in your size though. i would suggest checking out:

    www.mom4life.com
    www.evymama.ca
Or any of our retailers near you here http://www.nummies.com/find_re... all of whom have awesome selections.
